Known as the cradle of civilization on Java, Yogyakarta's history dates back to the 8th century. Nowadays, the city is one of the foremost cultural centers of Indonesia where street art can be found on many corners and houses are still decorated with ornate traditional wood carvings.
In the evening, gather with your new friends and partake in a guided walking tour through the city and taste Yogyakarta’s iconic dish, Gudeg, a curry dish made from jackfruit.
Learn about Javanese culture on a tour through the Palace of Yogyakarta, the seat of the reigning Sultan, and explore the impressive gardens at the Tamansari Water Castle.

Return to the center of Ubud and in the afternoon enjoy free time for optional activities. Consider joining an Indonesian cooking class or visiting Tegenungan waterfall.
Appreciate the charming Balinese countryside as you head to Canngu, one of Bali's hottest up and coming destinations, and home to some nice beaches.
Grab lunch with your friends at one of Canggu's hip cafes, settle into your accommodation, and begin to embrace the laid-back culture of this town.
After a week of active traveling between Java and Bali, spend this afternoon relaxing on the beach and enjoying a beverage while the sun goes down.
Have a little down time in the morning and then meet up with surfing instructors for a lesson of how to ride the waves. Canggu is home to some of the best surfing that Bali has to offer, and today you'll get a chance to experience it firsthand.
