Trip Overview

Day 1

Welcome to Mérida, Mexico!

Arrive at Manuel Crescencio Rejón International Airport by 2:00 pm  and take included transportation to your hotel in the heart of Merida. 

Enjoy your first dinner with your new group of friends as your Trip Leader goes over the plan for your adventure in Merida, Mexico.

Day 2

Cenote Visit

After breakfast, travel slightly outside of Merida to the thousands of cenotes in the area.

After a refreshing swim, continue on to a Mayan village and pay a visit to a medicinal Yucatecan shop to learn about traditional natural remedies.

Enjoy an included lunch with a local family before returning to Merida to explore more of the town. 

End your evening with a group dinner as you try some of the delicious dishes rich in Mayan heritage followed by an optional night out.

Day 3

Celestún Biosphere Reserve

Once you have finished breakfast, pack your belongings and begin your journey to one of the most colorful cities in Mexico: Campeche!

Along the way, stop at the Celestún Biosphere Reserve and admire hidden beaches and wetlands.  

Arrive in Campeche and enjoy a refreshing swim or leisurely walk along the Malecón before enjoying dinner with your new friends.

Day 4

Campeche Tour

Wake up in Campeche and enjoy breakfast at your hotel before departing for a city tour. 

Explore this town, one of the most important ports during the Spanish colonization, and admire the murals painted along the original forts, including a visit to the famous Fuerte de San Miguel, providing amazing views of the Gulf of Mexico from the trip.

Round off another great day in Mexico by trying some local cuisine for dinner before returning to your boutique hotel for the evening.

Day 5

Uxmal Cultural Day

After breakfast, pack your belongings and head back to Merida, making several stops along the way.

Meet with locals to learn how to make traditional bread, try some local specialities, and visit a local cemetery and learn about their annual Day Of the Dead celebrations. 

Continue to the most beautiful city in Maya culture...Uxmal. Though smaller, it is said to be of equal importance to the Maya people as Chichen Itzá.

Arrive in Merida in time for one last dinner as a group. Reminisce on your adventures in Mexico and share one last meal with your new friends.

Day 6

Departure

Say adios to your new friends and catch a flight from Manuel Crescencio Rejón International Airport departing after 12:00 pm.
